First, read the comments for my last post.  My lovely sister sang my praises and I want to thank her.  Love you too!

I spent last evening sewing the buttons on my "Christmas Through The Year" February Project.  In December I made Snowmen mug rugs.

For my February project, I made 12 little mug rugs, and sewed them together to make a table topper!

Now, I need to get it posted on "Flicker"!  Have a great leap year day!

This has been a fun weekend for me.  Friday, I headed over to Everett to visit my sister, my son and daughter in law, and step-daughter.  As usual, I stopped in Bothel at "Keepsake Cottage Fabrics" and shopped for about 45 minutes.  I love this quilt shop!

My sister and I then spent time Friday and Saturday visiting more of the quilt shops in the area.  Saturday night we all went to dinner at "Bob's", now a chain of burger joints started in Lynden, Washington.

I took today off from work just in case they closed Snoqualmie Pass and I couldn't get home.  There was compact snow and ice on top of the pass but I didn't have any problems.  I woke up at 5 am, looked out the window, saw that it wasn't raining, so I packed up my stuff and hit the road.  My sister gives me a bad time about waking up early and sneeking off!

I worked on my February Schnibbles "i.s.t.h.".  Sometimes I have a difficult time figuring Carries instructions and this was one of those times.  I made the center panel first and changed my mind about the fabric for the triangles.  I may have to rip some seams out and redo the center.  So, without further ado:

By the way, I used French General's "Rouenneries".  Maybe I will like it better after it is quilted?!

I played 18 holes of golf yesterday, came home and stitched up a quilt and was called into work at 6 pm.  Naturally, I took some fabric and my sewing machine with me.  I cut fabric for two quilts but only completed one.  I so ran out of gas about 1 am!  I got home about 5 am and went to bed.  The dogs woke me up once to play, I yelled at them and went back to sleep until 10 am.  Once I had downed a couple of cups of coffee, I went downstairs and quilted for awhile.  Here is the finished baby quilt from last night.  I used Barbara Jones "Doll Babies".

Close up of one block!
I'm thinking of an early bed time tonight!  I have tipped my pop over twice in the last five minutes.  I think it's time to put the sewing machine away for the day!

I also mailed off my mini quilt for the Mini Swap, and forgot to take a picture!

I played 18 holes of golf this morning in 30+ mph  winds.  Phew!  Before I left home, I cut the fabrics for a froggie baby quilt.  I have now finished stitching it together and am piecing the backing.  It is too cute!

PS  It has now been quilted and the binding sewn on!
FNSI Finish:  Baby Quilt using Moda's "Bliss Flannel"

I am waiting for the backing fabric to arrive before I can quilt it!
My donation to the Humane Society for 2012 is finished.

Here are the long awaited pics of Jen's quilt.  It has been quilted, the binding sewn and delivered!  While sewing, I saved all the corner cuts and make her a little table topper as well.

It's raining, so I am not going to play golf.  Instead, I am going to be binding one big quilt, and four little quilts.  Yes, I have been doing a little quilting this past week.  If I get my binding done, I will finish a mini quilt for a swap!  Don't know what's for supper.  But, I will figure out something.  Got any good recipes?

PS  I should mention that the big quilt is Jen's and one of the small quilt is made of clipped corners of blocks for her quilt.  Pics when finished!!

I finished my February Small Quilt Challenge today.  I had every intentions of using some red and cream reproduction fabric in keeping with Kathleen Tracy's theme of "Honoring That Pioneer Spirit".  However, before I found my reproduction fabric, I found the new Robin Pandolph fabric line "St. Remy De Provence".  I think that it turned out fantastic!

I finished my Wonky Houses and will make my committment to mailing them tomorrow!  YEAH!

There has been a building boom going on in my sewing room today.  I completed six more wonky houses.

This contractor is going to take a break and let her mind rest.  After I play golf tomorrow, I will be ready to build some more WONKIES!
