Cousin Linda's Dresden Quilt

Linda said that she really liked the quilt that Melissa from Happy Quilting made and posted.  So, I decided that I would make one similar for here.  It is not big but I know that she will love the colors!!   I still have to square it up and bind it but...

Tuesday Progress Report

I spent Sunday morning down in the dudgeon quilting my Courthouse Steps.  I need to square it up and sew the binding.

I have also been working diligently on my Dresden blades and have a nice stack that needs pressing.  In the mean time, I finished this table topper using Moda's "Reunion".  I made a candle mat with all of the corner clippings.

Check, Check , and Check!

I was able to check off all of my list from this morning.
    1.  Sew my Nappy's Dowry block.
    2.  Sew m 2013 Designer Mystery block.
    3.  Finish the last row of my "Modern View" quilt.  Order the border fabric.

Here is a picture of my "Modern View" quilt without the final border.  I did order the fabric this morning!!  It is the gray dot fabric.

I was also able to start a new table topper, went to lunch with my sister-in-law and pin my Courthouse Steps on the quilter.  Tomorrow, I am going to start a Dresden Plate quilt!  I will let you know how that goes!

In From The Cold

I finished another table topper last night and I am very happy with the way it turned out.

So, my plans for the day:
    1.  Sew my Nappy's Dowry block.
    2.  Sew m 2013 Designer Mystery block.
    3.  Finish the last row of my "Modern View" quilt.  Order the border fabric.
    4.  I will let you know tomorrow what ever else I get finished or started!  LOL

Wednesday's Progress

I partially cheated last night and brought dinner home.  So I was able to spend a little extra time at my sewing machine.  I pieced the backing for my Courthouse Steps and attached the binding to another table topper.  With these two projects at a good stopping point, I went to the living room, watched "Millionaire" and stitched the binding on my sister's blue and brown topper!

Little Table Topper

I finished stitching the binding on this cute little table topper.  I used "Happy Go Lucky" (I still have a fat eighth bundle!!).  The pattern is "Swell",from the book "Simply Retro" by Camille Roskelley.  As usual, I made it my way!!

Tomorrow:  Maybe another finish!

PS  Tonight was the first time in I don't know how long, that I did not sit down at my sewing machine and sew.  I just didn't feel like it!!

Dungeon Report

I spent most of the morning yesterday in the dungeon quilting three quilts.  I then brought them upstairs to attach the binding and have some nice calming hand stitching during the week.  I also finished hand stitching the binding on two quilts.  The first is "My Little Black Dress".

The second quilt is "Picnic" from Kim Brackett's book "Scrap-Basket Sensations".  It was part of a quarterly program at the Fat Quarter Shop a few years ago.  I never did make any of the quilts, until now!  I used Moda's "Collection For A Cause".  I love the muted colors!

I also started a new quilt called "Modern View" by John Kubiniec and is featured in the January/February 2013 "McCalls Quilting".  I am using "The Bella Collection" by Lotta Jansdotter.  It will be a nice queen size+ quilt.

I will show pics of my two other quilts after the binding is finished.

Scrappy Sunday and a Finish!

I spent most of today and yesterday sewing one inch strips together and I could just spit!  EXCEPT, that I have finished my "Small Courthouse Steps".  If you are a member of the quilt police squad, go away.  As soon as I attached the one screwy block, I knew it and left it in for character!!!

Tomorrow, I will either spend time in the dungeon, or start a new quilt called "Windmill" that I found at the MBS.  I will be using "Aspen Frost",

Later Gators!!

Scrappy Sunday and Show & Tell

I have several projects to show you, including Scrappy Sunday!  I have started sewing my A and B blocks together.  The second photo is a stack of B blocks that I need to finish!

I didn't tell you about my mis-adventure in Utah.  I tripped on my cousin's trailer hitch, fell and landed on my knees and right hand.  My knees are healing but my hand still hurts.  So, I only played 10 holes very poorly this morning and quit before I really screwed up my game!  So, when I got home, I made a second table topper with "In From The Cold".  I like this one better than yesterdays.  But it is still not the look that I want!!

And finally a little table topper or baby quilt that I finished up last night!  The fabric is a few years old--Moda's "Verna".

In From The Cold

I couldn't wait to show you this cute table topper that I made today.  I used Kate Spain's "In From The Cold".  I used one charm pack and some jelly rolls strips.  I am going to make another one but it will be square and the border will be the gingerbread men fabric!!

I got three small quilts quilted today, including my sister's blue and brown table topper.  Will get the binding on and then show pics.  I am golfing tomorrow for the first time in two weeks!

Esprit de Noel by French General

Last night while watching the Mariner game, I sewed the binding on my "Roadshow" table topper.  I used Esprit de Noel by French General.  I think that I have told you before how much I LOVE French General Fabric.  I LOVE the muted colors!!

So, my plans for today is to sew binding onto two quilts and head to the dungeon to quilt at least two quilts.  I will let you know tomorrow what I finished!!

Wednesday Morning

I think "Blogger" had a headache this morning because it has taken about 45 minutes to get to a new post!!??

I have been catching up with some small projects AND getting some quilting done.  YEAH!  Anyway, here is a couple of finishes:  The first one is called "Hide n Seek" by Kathy Brown.  I used "Happy Go Lucky" for a bright and cheery baby quilt!

The second is a little table topper that I saw some where on the net and made my own version.  I used "Independence Trail" and I think that I will make one in the blue and darker beige for my sister!

I am working on my "B" blocks for Courthouse steps and have sewn one row together!!
