New MBS Project

I saw this quilt on the MBS site and fell in love!  It will be much bigger (queen) when I finish but I wanted to share!  I am using Moda's "More Hearty Good Wishes".

UFO Finish!

I dug this UFO out of the cupboard this week end and just finished sewing it together.  It is a simple braid using mostly Kate Spain scraps.  I have ordered some backing and will add it to the pile in the dungeon!

I played golf this morning and we are having dinner with family!  Yeah, no cooking!  Until later...

Monday Report!

I have a couple of projects to show you.  One, is a finish and one is a flimsy.  The first is the "Gray Square Scramble" all quilted.

The second is a nice table topper made with an old Fig Tree Collection, "Patisserie".  One of the nice things about taking pictures of flimsy is that you can correct a mistake before quilting!!!  I need to change two blocks!

When I got home from golfing this morning, I planted a peonie that I bought Saturday at the farmers market.  I hope the vendor is there next Saturday, sew I can buy another.  Her bouquets were beautiful.

Until later...

New Blog Design

I was a little tired of the boring blog background, sew, I found something a little jazzier!!  The wind blew and the rain fell all of last night and all morning.  That meant that it was sewing time.  Before I show you my new flimsy, I will show you a small table topper that I finished yesterday.  The fabric is Moda's "Martinique".  I am going to have to invest in a design board, the reds are a little too much on one side.

I was actually planning on spending the morning in the dungeon, but got started on this quilt and stuck with it.  I got the pattern off "The Fat Quarter Shop" site.  It is "Gettysburg" by Sew Emma.  I used Fig Tree's "Mirabelle" and have ordered "More Hearty Good Wishes" to make another one!

Dinner is in the oven, sew I am off to the showers!

"Gray Square Scramble"

It is a beautiful day but since I am not playing golf, I have been sewing!  The quilt is from the "Spring 2014 Easy Quilts".  It was pretty simple but it is very colorful.  And, I love it!

Now, on to finish another project!

PS Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!

Mid Week Finish!

First, I apologize for my leading title on my last post.  I know you all thought I was announcing a grandchild but...

I started this quilt a year or so ago.  I don't remember the pattern, but the fabric is "Everlasting".  I tried using a double layer of Hobbs batting but kept breaking needles.  I had the rep come down in March to make some adjustments to my machine but I just got around to finishing the binding today.

Until next time, happy sewing!

Another Baby Quilt--What Does That Mean????

Wellllll, I would like to be a grandma, but I also love the fabrics that I have been using!  Ha Ha!  This fabric is "White Washed Cottage"(Honeysweet"?) , no I don't think so but it is from Moda, and the pattern is from the MQC tutorials.

About a month ago, I spent several hours cleaning, sorting my fabric,  I can't find my Mary Engelbreit nor  a couple of other collections.  I typically run my mental video as to where I last saw some fabric, and then look for it.  Now those videos are ALL MIXED UP and I can't find a thing!!

I have three different quilts cut out, so will be working on those this coming week.  AND, I got my first hole in one Thursday during league play!!
