This has been a fun weekend for me. Friday, I headed over to Everett to visit my sister, my son and daughter in law, and step-daughter. As usual, I stopped in Bothel at "Keepsake Cottage Fabrics" and shopped for about 45 minutes. I love this quilt shop!
My sister and I then spent time Friday and Saturday visiting more of the quilt shops in the area. Saturday night we all went to dinner at "Bob's", now a chain of burger joints started in Lynden, Washington.
I took today off from work just in case they closed Snoqualmie Pass and I couldn't get home. There was compact snow and ice on top of the pass but I didn't have any problems. I woke up at 5 am, looked out the window, saw that it wasn't raining, so I packed up my stuff and hit the road. My sister gives me a bad time about waking up early and sneeking off!
I worked on my February Schnibbles "i.s.t.h.". Sometimes I have a difficult time figuring Carries instructions and this was one of those times. I made the center panel first and changed my mind about the fabric for the triangles. I may have to rip some seams out and redo the center. So, without further ado:
By the way, I used French General's "Rouenneries". Maybe I will like it better after it is quilted?!

Your Schnibbles looks nice, love the French General fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric choices for this project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt top!
I really like it just the way it is. Your quilt is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSandy is a wonderful sister. When she comes to visit she brings all kinds of surprises: quilts fresh off her machine that you forgot making, books for you to read, cookies for snacking, casseroles for dinner. Then we all get together to celebrate her trek over the pass and SHE takes us out to dinner.
ReplyDeleteBut, most of all, I love her company <3
Lovely quilt top. Sisters are such a treasure :D
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful quilt. Love how it turned out in these fabrics. I had a hard time getting my star blocks to be 6 1/2 each one came out a different size, even when I cut the squares down to 2 inches each....I hate when that happens!
