Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I am off today. The dogs got me up about 5:30 am and I hit the sewing machine about 7. My intention was to cut and make my "Doc" quilt, but for some reason that really doesn't interest me. Last year when I was making my "Stars" quilt, I bought lots of red, white and blue fabric. This morning I dug through some of my scraps and made a small table runner.
I also found three charm packs of "Clermont Farms" and "Bar Harbor" and decided to make a "Twister" quilt. Here is the charm quilt.
And, here is the "Twister":
I can cross this off of my list for 2012. I tried making a selvage something today. And, was successful in making a coaster. LOL
Now, these two quilts go downstairs and to my stack on the quilter. I am off to put supper in the oven--Chicken Enchilada's, take a shower and watch the Mariners play.

Love Bar Harbor and love it even more in a twister quilt!
ReplyDeleteA very productive day - love everything (as usual)

A good quilting day------have to love the Twister and making one in red, white, and blue just seems so appropriate right now. You have a lot of patience to make a selvedge coaster.
ReplyDeleteOne of the prettiest Twister quilts I have seen. Great fabric collection choice.
