Can you ever have too many Halloween Quilts?? Melissa from Happy Quilting has introduced another great tutorial called "Starburst". I am thinking of making the same 4 block quilt in Halloween fabric. I still have to finishing quilting the second half of the Irish Chain quilt. But I think I can fit Melissa's quilt in!!

Cheddar Bay Drop Biscuits
2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar ¾ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp garlic powder
1 cup buttermilk
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 450o
Line baking sheet with parchment paper
Combine dry ingredients and whisk.
Combine the cooled, melted butter with cold buttermilk.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients.
Add shredded cheese and stir until just combined.
Using ¼ cup scoop, drop biscuits about an inch or two apart.
Bake 12-14 minutes, until golden brown.
Brush on top of baked biscuits:
1 Tbsp butter, melted
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley, chopped fine
Now, it's downstairs to do some quilting.
They sound great !!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any Halloween quilt, but I have a few pieces of Halloween fabric. Say I'm going to make one next year, then next year ... you know how that goes.
