I had a very busy and profitable weekend at the local Vintage/Antique Show Friday and Saturday. I was able to sell some of my quilts and baskets. But, at times it is very boring, if not for friends that were also there.
Yesterday started out windy and cold but my golfing buddy and I toughed it out and played all 18 holes. I stopped and bought groceries on the way home, and then ordered Chinese food for dinner!
What I wanted to tell you is that I finally started my string quilt. I cut my foundation fabric and completed one block. Truthfully, that is all the energy that I had.
Oh, and by the way, I bought a Singer Featherweight at the show! The seller was local, so I will bring it home on Thursday! Yippee!

You will love your little featherweight if it doesn't come with a clamshell foot pedal you might want to look into getting one for it. It will sew so much easier!
ReplyDeleteI love your beginning of a string quilt. Congrats on your featherweight. I am addicted to them. I have 3. Hugs
ReplyDeleteMy gosh you're a prolific seamstress! You just put me to shame :-[. I LOVE making string quilts! I have a ufo from a few years back still hoping and praying that I will return to it ;-)
