I finished another baby quilt this evening--just had about 12 inches on the binding.  I used Moda's "Hoopla".   and, used a pattern from the MBS by Cindy Lammon called "Building Blocks".

I wanted to show you three minis that I finished today.  The first is a flag, made from scrappy red, white and blue.  I got the pattern from "Stashmaster, Lisa" during the 4th of July Blog Tour!

The second is a mini kit from Temecula Quilt Company.  Betty Lou from Sugarland Quilts made one also.  Hers was cut out correctly.  I cut my windmills on the wrong side of the fabric!  I just noticed that I have another kit exactly the same.  Maybe I can cut it the correct way.

The third mini is made from leftover blocks from my "Strawberry Fields" quilt.

Endless Possibilities

Good afternoon!  I wanted to show you a couple of works in progress before I clean up and head to the kitchen to start supper.  The first is a lap size quilt with Fig Tree's "Strawberry Fields".  I still have to add borders, but the fabric has been ordered.

The second quilt is a scrappy blue and white half triangles.  Here are two blocks.

I also have a few quilts stacked on my quilter.  Maybe I can finish one tomorrow.  LOL

I hope that all of you have enjoyed the holiday!  I played at golf this morning and came home and quilted for a bit.  Here are three of my latest finishes (two baby quilts and a table topper).

"Baby Bricks" by Tracy Kincheloe

Moda Bakeshop Pattern by Jamie Mueller
I ran out of Jelly Roll strips, so I used Honey Bun strips ("Oh, Cherry, Oh")

"Fat Man Squeeze" from Kathy Brown's Book "Strip Smart Quilts"
I must tell you that my seam ripper got plenty of use--I couldn't get block arrangement quite right!  I used Minick and Simpson's "Clermont Farms"

Happy 4th of July!

I am off to the golf course with an early tee time.  I should be home and sewing by noon.  I have had a great vacation and it is back to work tomorrow.  Enjoy the day!

I finished a nice little patriotic table topper last night.  Now, all I need to do is clean house and dust to get it on my blanket chest,  LOL

The pattern is Elinor Burns "Twin Sisters".

I finished my Synchronized Squares Quilt today.  I used "Pom Pom de Paris" and an off- white layer cake.  I love how the colors blended so well.

Saturday, June 25, 2011

I have finished my "Max and Whiskers" quilt.

I am also in the process of sewing my blocks for Racheal Griffith's "Synchroized Squares Quilt Along".  I am using "Pom Pom de Paris" by French General and Moda.  Here is my stacks of unsewn blocks.  I have until June 30 to get the top finished to be included in the drawing.  Since I am on vacation this week, I should be able to finish.

I just had to show you the quilt that I made for my second cousin's new baby girl.  She isn't expected until the fall but her name will be Journey Ruth.  How sweet is that!

Julie from Jaybird Quilts is having a fat quarter giveaway sponsored by Kathy from  Pink Chalk Fabrics.  Stop by Julies to learn the rules of the giveaway and stop by Kathy's to check out her store.  I signed up for Kathy's newsletter and received a free quilt pattern in the process.  Hip, Hip, Hooray for new friends!

Oops, almost forgot, Kathy is from Bainbridge Island, Washington.

I participated in the Friday Night Sew In and here is my finished table topper.

While I was stitching the binding, the dogs came running in from outside and jumped on me, and the table topper, with their muddy paws!  I will have to wash the topper before I send it to my cousin!

This little project goes to my "11 in 11" file for finished unfinished quilts!  I had dug 4 charm packs of Fandango out of my stash and started this quilt last year.  Hip Hip Hooray, it is now finished!

I also made a small table topper with the left over fabric and will make mug rugs with the two leftover blocks.  My cousin Linda loves orange, so she gets the table topper and mug rugs!

I think that this lapsize quilt will be my donation to the 2012 Humane Society Crab Feed,  I quilted it with a meander pattern with large and small bones.  Although, I am about half way finished with another on using Moda's "Max and Whiskers".    Maybe, I will let YOU decide!

I was going to sew the binding on a quilt that I finished over the week-end but got distracted with the "Simple Things Quilt Along".  I had been wondering what fabric to use so I went searching in my HUGE stash pile!  I found Moda's "Fruitcake" and started cutting.  However, and as usual, I didn't have enough fabric for the longer strips so I spent the next 45 minutes on the internet finding more fabric.  Needless to say, I didn't take any pictures!  Maybe tonight, after I sew some binding!  LOL

PS  I am making the small quilt.

This is a lapsize quilt that I made to take "Glamping"!  The fabric is Moda's "Hideaway".
