Christmas Through The Year!

Tomorrow is December 1 and several of us have been making presents all year with Darlene and Cheryl over at Quilting Daze.  Darlene and Cheryl will be giving up their roles as hostess after this month.  Here is a big hug and thank you to them for all of their work and cheerleading skills!

I was busy today trying to finish up some of my clients quilts.  I did six, although four were baby quilts.  I ran out of time to quilt my little table topper, maybe tomorrow!

Help, can I add another border?

I thought that I finished a queen size quilt this morning.  BUT, when I measured it, it was only 70 x 70.  Will it work to add another border???

Week End Update

I was up fairly early this morning, had my coffee and read the paper, dusted and then headed downstairs to the quilter.  I finished two quilts, one for my sister and one for a friend.  I am making progress on a quilt for a friend at work.  It has to be DONE by December 15 for his sixth wedding anniversary.  His wife's favorite color is BLUE.  I am using Moda's "Blueberry Crumb".  Wish me luck in finding some more dark fabric.  It is a pretty simple "Churn Dash" that I found in the Fall 2009 Quilts and More.

Friday, Friday, Friday

Good morning all, I have been up for a couple of hours, got my chores finished and finished a table topper for a friend.  I will be off here shortly to grocery shop and stop by my hairdresser's to deliver some coin purses.  I found some fabric that is very appropriate!!  The hairdresser fabric is from Loralie Harris!

I will check in again later!

Weekend's Progress

I knew that I wanted to post my weekends projects but for the life of me, I know that I am forgetting something!!  I constructed two houses, that still need the exterior work done.  I started an 18" x 40" table topper for a friend.  I made several more coin purses.  I played golf Saturday and Sunday.  Friday, I took down my halloween decorations, cleaned house, did laundry and ???

A Little Obsessive?

I think that most of you know that there is a blog hop going on called "U R Priceless Coin Purse".  I am not in it but I have been making coin purses like crazy.  I am afraid that I blame thank Madamme Samm and Corrie for my newest obsession!  I have adapted a couple of different patterns.  The last picture is my latest sample.  I squared off the bottom so it will sit!  I also enlarged it 1/4 inch so the frame fits correctly.

Christmas Through The Year

I made this cute little purse at retreat and then last night made a Ghastlie coin purse as well.  One cannot have too many Ghastlies!

Sunday WIP

I only played nine holes of golf this morning.  It was a bit cloudy, but no rain.  I needed to get some grocery shopping done.

I have been working on my Chippewa quilt and am a little over half finished.  Really, there are just four more rows.  I still need nine, nine patches but all the other blocks are ready.

I also took pictures of my "Pumpkin Pie Mold".  Today, I bought an "Apple Pie Mold", and a "Heart Pie Mold".  I should tell you that the molds are from Williams Sonoma originally.

My knee is killing me so I am quitting for the day.  I need to peel some potatoes to go with a roast that is in the crock pot.

Saturday Thoughts--no pics

Yes, it sprinkled for all 18 holes of golf.  I surprised my group by staying!  LOL.  After golf, I went to Ramona's house (I met her at the quilt retreat and found out that she lives on the golf course where I play).  We sewed and chit chatted for a couple of hours and enjoyed ourselves.  I did get six of my nine nine patches sewn together--only six more to sew and I can sew my quilt together.  Yeah!

When I got home I made some little cherry pies with my pumpkin mold.  I know, WHAT!  One of the demos at the retreat was using pumpkin and apple molds from William Sonoma.  You roll pie dough, use the mold to cut the shape and them stuff with filling and bake.  I didn't have any pumpkin to mix up, so I used cherry pie filling.  They were yummy with a little ice cream.

Although the Seahawk game is on at 10 am, I will probably go play golf tomorrow and then come home and sew.

Catch you later.

WIP CHIPPEWA

I have been sewing since about 7 am this morning and I am ready to pack it in for the day.  But, first, my progress with my Chippewa quilt.

Stack of Snowball Blocks

Two Stacks of Setting Triangles

Stack of all my cut corners (will make  a table topper later!)

This picture doesn't show it very well, but this is the first completed row.  There are four snowball blocks and five nine nine patch blocks!

It is sprinkling outside, so I don't know about golfing tomorrow.  Maybe I can get this quilt finished by Sunday afternoon?!
