"For your last task . . .
Pampering and Dreaming
Today you get to grab a cup of your favorite beverage (mine will be hot, cuz it’s cold where I am), put your feet up, and settle in with some of your newly organized magazines or books, picture your neat fabric stash all put away, envision your clean sewing area, and pick out a new project that you want to do in 2010." Go check out Shelly's blog! for full details.

My 2010 goals:

use up my stash

sew and quilt all of my purchased kits

try something new;

AND, I joined the 1951 Quilt along

I don't think that many of my blogging friends know that I am an avid M&M collector. My office is full, as well as several, many, lots of boxes at home. I stopped by the grocery store one night last week and LOOK WHAT I FOUND! I couldn't resist, and he was half price! My little red buddie stands about 2 feet tall and has little reindeer antlers on his big head.
I usually sew in my "den" on an old oak teachers desk. But after my sister left I moved the mess into the kitchen. After dinner last night, I cleaned up the table and put everything AWAY. I will make another mess tomorrow! (in the den)

Today’s task is . . .
Clean up the area around your sewing machine

Will let you know later how I do!

Final Countdown Day 3 task was . . .
Straighten up your stacks of magazines and/or your quilting book shelf.

Here is my before and after. The before picture is a stack piled on the floor. The after is a FULL plastic container! I thought about taking a picture of the whole room, but I would never live down the embarassment! LOL!

I have added a new blog to my blog list. It is the Prairie Moon Quilts blog. I copied the information from Happy Cottage Quilter. "Have you been following Prairie Moon Quilts The Final Countdown this week? Shelly is giving 5 tasks to complete to end the year. If you complete each task, you are eligible for a prize on January 4th. The first day was finishing binding on a quilt, the second day was put away scraps, and today the task is to straighten out magazines or quilt books."

I think this is an excellent idea to help us all clean, clean, clean our craft rooms. I must pass this info on to my sister-in-law Linda!

Good Monday morning, I had finished my last client quilt last week-end, so I have been puttering around in the kitchen baking 14 dozen christmas cookies, and 3 batches of pumpkin bread and peachy nut bread. I have also been working on my blocks for the "Cancer Sew" group. AND, I finished my December Schnibbles--Tuffets. I made 5--and 2 were the same pattern. I thought I was doing a good job with the small, small pieces until I turned them out. Let me tell you, the tiniest oops and it shows BIG time. I used scraps rather than cut up a charm pack.

Finally this Tuesday morning, I want to show you a "fun" quilt that I made yesterday on my extra day off. It is very warm and cuddly.

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Deeeaar Santa

Santa stopped by yesterday to tell me that I won! Thank you Santa!!

Deeeaar Santa, I visisted the Fat Quarter Shop this morning and found some fat quarters that I MUST HAVE! The are called "Truffle Leanika". Kim has been such a WONDERFUL shop owner this year that I hope you leave her something REALLY REALLY nice!

I decided that my living room wasn't Christmasie enough, so I quickly put together this little table topper and put it on the coffee table under my Jim Shore and Eddie Walker figurines. It definitely added color!

I finished a quilt for my friends daughter for Christmas. I used Maywoods "Tulips" and Elenor Burns "Twin Sister". I used high loft batting (her request) so my quilting options were limited. But, it turned out beautiful!

My December Pennsyvania Dutch Block is finished!
