"Summer Days"

I have finished my April Schnibbles, "Summer Days" three days early!  I used French General's "Pom Pom de Paris".  I was going to use "Strawberry Fields" but wanted something a little different.  And since I love the muted colors...

Wonky Trees

I finally got my Wonky Trees completed.  They are due on May 1st.  If I get them in the mail tomorrow, priority mail, they should make it!

Someone tied me up and made me sign up for the next two blocks:  wonky 4 patches and wonky stars, all due by July 1st.  If I catch her, I don't know what I will do to her, maybe make her sew!!!

Sandy's Sunday Sewing

Good afternoon, I am home from playing golf and doing a little shopping--Vonda, I bought some orange thread!!  I also bought the boys some squeeky toys and Zeke has the squeeky chewed out of one already.  LOL

Here is a baby quilt for my hairdresser's daughter.  It is quilted, bound, and washed and I LOVE IT!  All of the Triangles have been quilted differently, either straight lines or curvy lines.

I must get some Wonky Trees done and in the mail this week, as well as finish my April Schnibbles.  I have one row sewn together, six more to go and you will be surprised at how it will look.  NO PEEKY!

February Schnibbles

Finally finished my February's Schnibbles, all quilted, bound, and washed.  Since it is French General's Rouenneries, I drew some Fleur de Lis' and then filled in with stones.  It was easier to see before I washed it but, it was also covered with markings.

Christmas Through The Year April

Here is my "present" for April.  A small log cabin table topper using Moda/Sweetwater's "Hometown".

April FNSI

I didn't get very far with my April Schnibbles.  I normally have Fridays off, but had to work a 12 hour shift, so by the time I got home, I did not have a lot of energy.  However, the important thing is that I got started!!

I am ready to sew the second square to complete my geese.

I have vacuumed, dusted, washed clothes and sheets, showered and fixed my hair.  Now, I have to decide what to fix for supper and I am off to the store.

Later!

Friday Night Sew-In

"Tonight's the night" for April's FNSI.  I hope to get started on my April Schnibbles.  I am using "Pom Pom de Paris".  I have developed a love for the "French General's" muted colors.  I sent five or six (don't remember which) pillowcases off for the Cantor Cancer Drive this past Monday.

Barb, I have one of your quilts finished!

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Well, I played golf a little better today than last weekend!  LOL  I stitched the binding on three quilts when I got home, finished my BOM Re-Hab block and two blocks of my "Granny Square" quilt.

Yesterday I quilted a baby quilt for my sister and a quilt for a friend.  I am ripping out some of the quilting on my friend's quilt because the bottom some how got some wrinkles and looked UGLY and I wasn't about to call Barb and say her quilt was done but with a few flaws!  No way!  I will finish my ripping watching the Mariners tonight!

I hope that you had a nice Easter.  I played golf, although, of the 36 holes that I played this weekend, I think that I might have had nine good holes!  I also did some quilting--one more quilt for Durinda and I quilted my February Schnibbles.  I am waiting for some fabric to do the binding.  Then after it is washed, I will show you how it turned out.  I did one block for my BOM Re-hab, three more blocks for my Granny Square Quilt(Moda's "Lovely"), made a table topper that will count for my April "Christmas Through The Year" and a baby quilt for a friend's daughter.

BOM Rehab

Here is my BOM Re-hab block for this week.  I posted one for last week but it didn't count!  Anyway, this is a block from "Vintage Kansas City Star" BOM from the FQS.

Sunday, April 1, 2012

I have wrapped up my weekend of sewing/quilting.  I was called into work at 7 am and worked until 2:15 pm.  Remember, I don't work in the health field so my sewing at work does not jeopardize any one's life.  I made a block from "The Vintage Kansas City Star" BOM, part of my BOM Re-hab assignment.  I made two pairs of pillowcases and started a new quilt.  The new quilt is called "Triangle Toss" from this month's "McCalls Quilting, The best of American Quilting".  It will be a baby quilt for my hair dresser's daughter, who is having a boy but doesn't want blue things--go figure?!

Friday, I quilted a quilt for my sister and a quilt for my friend Durinda.  I also finished my March Schnibbles.  What I did not do this month was "Christmas Through the Year" and my mini quilt from Kathleen Tracy.

Heart Cookies for April FNSI

Dog Lover for April FNSI

Baseball for James and Little Jon

Kitty Kats for my son and daughter in law!
So, my plan for the week ahead:  quilt some more quilts;  work on my "Grandma's Squares"; work on the baby quilt; get my son's birthday gifts in the mail; and, if I have to, decide what to fix for supper every day!  Have a great week!
