I wanted to show you what I have been working on most of the day.  No, it is not finished--I have to cook supper!!  I am quilting spider webs and pumpkins on every other block.

I also wanted to show you how big Tank (Welsh Corgi Mix) is getting.  Yesterday while I was fixing supper, he kept getting in my way.  So for a couple of minutes, I worked with him to "stay".  It worked for about five minutes--long enough for me to finish my prep!  Good Boy!  He likes to lay downstairs with me while I quilt.

That's it for today.   This evening while watching TV, I will sew the binding on my newest baby quilt.

I received my darling springy mug rugs today from Beth Foust!  She also included a nice springy fat quarter.  It snowed here this moring so I really like the idea that spring is just around the corner.  Or should I say around the lamp table!  Thanks so much Beth!

When I got home from work yesterday, there was a thank you card from my Mug Rug Swap partner Kelly.  So this morning I check the list posted on "Quilting Gallery", found her blog and paid her a little visit.  She had posted pictures of her gifts.  That was kind of fun to see them on someone else's blog.  After I left my comment, I went back and took a better look at her blog.  AND, she just had a baby, a lttle boy named Jacob.  Congradulations Kelly

Cara Wilson from Cara's Quilts started a "Basic Charity Challenge".

I left a comment on her blog about my donation to the local hospice house.  Then, thinking about it, I deleted my story because I didn't think that it fit with donating to local shelters for women and children.  Then I re-considered.  Why?  Because I practice doing random acts of kindness wherever and whenever I can.  You can too.  Donate, contribute, volunteer where you see a need.  I know that quilters truly "Have a Heart"!

Thanks, Sandy

OK friends, I am back in season and can now check two more items off of my quilting goal list.  I made an Easter table topper using the large X Block Ruler.  I bought the book and ruler last summer when I met my sister in Yakima for my birthday lunch!

Easter Table Topper

I am going to have to try the X Block again.  In the mean time, I will send it to my sister.

Happy Sunday!

I know that I am a little out of season but when you find exactly what you are looking for, you have to act!  Last fall I bought a "Haunted Mansion" layer cake and a pattern that I thought would be perfect.  When the pattern got here, I didn't really like it.  So, I set the layer cake aside, UNTIL this week when I saw this on Moda Bake Shop and knew that I had found the perfect pattern.

The pattern also called for one charm pack, it arrived Thursday and here is the result:

I still need to add borders and I am going to order this fabric for the backing:

A BIG thank you to Amy Smart and the MBS for solving my dilemma!

I wanted to show you the quilt that I just finished for our grand-neice.  It has not been quilted yet.  She is a fashion diva, so the squares are all from Alexander Henry fabric.  Don't be too shocked by the colors--she likes them!

Did you notice the pink zebra stripes?!

I signed up for Daisy Quilts "February Hearts Sew-Along and here is my little table topper.  I changed my just a bit, but doesn't it look pretty!  It still needs to be quilted but that is for another day.

We had sunshine this morning so I could finally take pictures of quilts 2011 (4 and 5).

Thimble Blossoms "Wild Thing"
Moda's "Collection for a Cause--Hope"

I am working on a couple of little projects.  Maybe I will get them done today.
