Today is the end of my first week's vacation. If you recall, last week-end I drove to Utah for a family reunion. Tuesday, I finished my "Willow Weave" from "Aunt Reen's" Jelly Roll Sew Along. Wednesday, I worked on my "Hidden Baskets" and Thursday, I kind of took the day off!! Early morning, I made a mini quilt that is 11 sq. inches. It is called "Baking Powder Biscuits" by "Sweet Confections".
I played hooky the rest of the day with some friends. We drove to Hermiston, Oregon, to shop at a new quilt shop called "Material Girl". It is a rather small shop with a nice selection of fabric and offers internet sales. The shop has only been open since April. We had lunch, and then drove home. I worked some more on my "Hidden Baskets", and then met with my sewing group called "Sew What". This is a group of beginners who are very eager to learn new things. I showed them how to make a simple shoulder bag and they all did an excellent job!! I took a picture but it won't rotate!?
This evening I can say that "Ta Da", I have finished "Hidden Baskets" and the baskets will be obvious to you, finally!!
My project for tomorrow is to start the "Pam Buda" Sew Along and get a couple of quilts quilted.
