More "Windswept Table Mats"1
I told you that I was going to make more Windswept Table Mats. Here are a few that I made this morning before golf!
I am going to quilt them onto some batting, stitch the backing on with front sides together and then use bias strips for the binding. That should work!
PS I changed my mind on finishing these toppers while I was out golfing, If I was going to quilt them on batting, I might as well quilt the backing on too! It makes much more sense!!

Windswept Table Mat (All Fixed)
All Fixed!! I took the two odd pieced out of each hexagon and then stitched it where it belonged. They still look a little odd but as I said yesterday, "they are so easy to make that I will have lots of fun making more and making them correctly!
(I was so excited when I got home from work tonight because my 60 degree ruler finally arrived. I needed it for Aunt Reen's "Windswept Table Mat" sew along. I had my strips waiting, so I immediately cut and sewed them together. Only then, did I read the fine print. I was suppose to match up three pairs of cuts. Well, as you can see by my pics, I didn't quite make it! BUT, and this is a big BUT, with the right tools, these are so easy to make that I will have lots of fun making more!)

Pumpkin Table Runner
Over the weekend, this darling table runner was posted on facebook.
When my cousin saw the original runner, this was her message: "I want one"! So this one will be shipped on Wednesday! I will probably make a couple more!!

Purple Vision
I had to hurry to take pictures before it started to rain. As you can tell by the pictures, the binding still needs to be sewn on! This queen quilt is for my cousin's sister in law. She had seen a mini quilt that I made and wanted it, but much bigger!!
I have been trying to sew along with Aunt Reen, but I am having problems cutting out 60 degree wedges of my border fabric. Aunt Reen said that it was easy but...
I am also working on some placemats for a friend. She wants eight. I am about half finished--maybe after golf tomorrow?!

Early Morning Finish
I wanted to show you my early morning finish before I dash off to grocery shop. The pattern is called "Fright Night" and is from a Thimbleberries book "Quilting for Harvest". When I get back, I will be in the dungeon quilting this and my other two halloween quilts! Have a great Friday sewing!!
OOps, it looks like I am going to have to make a few changes. I sewed two side pieces upside down! DARN IT!!!
