It is Finished!!

I did not expect to finish the binding and make the shams today but TA DA:

PS  Vicki, your third quilt is on the machine!!

Week End Plans!

It is Friday, raining, and the start of the week end.  But, I am retired, so the "week end" has lost some of it's "specialiness"!!

I have finally finished quilting my cousin's quilt.  I took the pictures on my dining room table where I was trimming off the excess fabric and squaring it up. The fabric is all from Art Gallery.

I am making pillow shams and will show you a final picture when all are finished.

Also on the table is a baby quilt.  The pattern is a Sew Emma called "On The Boardwalk".  It is a very easy and quickly goes together.  The fabric is "On The Go" by Robert Kaufman.

The final quilt is made with "Modern Background Ink" by Zen Chic".  I love it!!  I bought a jelly roll at retreat last September and found the pattern on Pinterest called "To The Point".

That's it for now!

Week End Wrap Up!

My son and daughter in law were up very early this morning and got home about noon.  He wanted to get home before the Seahawks came on.  He is a season ticket holder!

After they left this morning, I cut up fabric to make my cousin a quilt.  They live in Illinois, but winter in Scottsdale.  She wanted a southwest fabric theme.  The fabric is a combination of collections from Art Gallery including:  The Wanderer. Arizona, and Tribal.  The quilt pattern is Star Cakes from Jolly Jabber.

I tried to figure out something that would be marketable when the local farmers markets open in the spring.  Sew, check out my quilted dolly sleeping bag!!  It measures about 14" x 16".  I will probably make a couple of different sizes.  AND, quilt large pieces of fabric on my long arm, rather than using my regular machine--much much faster!

I am going to run, the Seahawk game is on!
