Vintage Kansas City Star BOM

The first project that I worked on when I got home from golfing was to put together a block from the "Vintage Kansas City Star BOM".  It took me over an hour but it was worth it!

When I was cleaning and pitching on Friday, I came across some fabric that I purchase in 2008 to make a quilt called "Plantation Bay" using "Surf and Sand" from Marcus Fabrics.   However, I used a pattern called "Bold Statement" from "Quilts and More" Summer 2011.  If you would like the quilt after it is quilted and/or the leftover fabric, let me know.

Finally, I put a new roof on my first house.  I do like it better.  And, I noticed that the chimneys and part of the roof are the same fabric.  My next house will be like the picture, maybe!

  2. Bring your 'extras' over next weekend. I can sort them and then donate them. Peeking into the piles down stairs is one of my fun activites at your house. And I seem to be more interested in granny squares than my other stuff.

Save room in your car, I have a box with surprises for you.

    See you next week.

  4. Wow I like that Kansas BOM! I like this blue patterned quilt, you did a good job on it. Very calm feeling.Do you still have any scraps from this quilt? If you do I would love to get them from you or trade something. I am looking for what I would say are small scraps aka crumbs so if you or anyone you know that would like to share I would be interested. =) I am new to quilting, have been making a crumb quilt and have had to ask for crumbs/ scraps as I don't really hav a stash! LOL Thanks for all the inspiration!
