Dungeon Report

I spent most of the morning yesterday in the dungeon quilting three quilts.  I then brought them upstairs to attach the binding and have some nice calming hand stitching during the week.  I also finished hand stitching the binding on two quilts.  The first is "My Little Black Dress".

The second quilt is "Picnic" from Kim Brackett's book "Scrap-Basket Sensations".  It was part of a quarterly program at the Fat Quarter Shop a few years ago.  I never did make any of the quilts, until now!  I used Moda's "Collection For A Cause".  I love the muted colors!

I also started a new quilt called "Modern View" by John Kubiniec and is featured in the January/February 2013 "McCalls Quilting".  I am using "The Bella Collection" by Lotta Jansdotter.  It will be a nice queen size+ quilt.

I will show pics of my two other quilts after the binding is finished.

  1. Picnic has been on my "to do" list since Kim's book came out, glad to see that you made it, it's lovely. Wishing I had a dungeon so I could hide in it and sew, sew, sew. Hugs

  2. I love your LBD quilt! The dotted background is great!

  3. Little Black Dress is gorgeous and Picnic is fabulous too! I'm always amazed at how much you accomplish - you work is impeccable and wonderful!

  4. Love the Little Black Dress quilt... really cute! I'm behind on blog reading, and I see I missed your post showing the finished Court House Steps, so I'll leave my comment here... it's SENSATIONAL! And I love the mixed up block... kind of like your signature on the quilt!

  5. Somehow I missed a few of your posts. Love these quilts, Sandy. LBD is striking. Love the colors in your Picnic Quilt : )
