Giveaway!

I was going to have a giveaway a month or so ago for 100 followers.  Then, one person unfollowed me, WHAT??  I now have 100 followers, so if they stay until the end of the week, I will pick a winner on Friday, May 10th.

I think that I will give my "Simply Charming" quilt called "Teresa's Treasure".  Since I am not sleeping very well, give me a sleep remedy that works for you.

  2. Congrats on the 100 followers!

I like a warm drink. Sometimes just a cup of tea with milk. For herbal tea, I like Sleepytime that has chamomile, valerian, and lemon balm, which are said to have a relaxing effect on the body. Warm milk (tryptophan) can help soothe and relax. I like to add a drop of vanilla. Cherries (melatonin) has a similar effect. If I was having trouble sleeping and I was hungry, I would maybe have a small dish of oatmeal made with milk with dried cherries. May you soon be sleeping better.

Your quilt is simply charming and were I lucky enough to win would consider it a treasure ... :) Pat

  3. Oops I was supposed to give a sleep remedy. I really have no ideas since I don't have trouble getting to sleep. Might have something to do with staying up too late.

  4. I take Melatonin every night - 1.5mg - an hour or so before bed. It works for me. My problem is waking up in the middle of the night when the DH decides to take his side out of the middle!

  5. That is such a cute little quilt! Have you trying reading before you go to bed? If I read before I go to bed, I can usually fall asleep.

  6. Lol.. don't you just hate that!! I hardly sleep either... it drives me nuts. Beautiful quilt.

Btw... the only way to get all three dogs to sit still for a photo is to hold cookies over the camera. My dogs are mooches ...they'll do anything for food. : )

  7. Congratulations on having 100 followers! I really enjoy being one of them. I try to focus on my breathing and try to clear my mind to sleep. When I start thinking of things to do, I just focus on not thinking, just breathing. It really does help! Thanks for the great giveaway! :0)

  8. I could rock you to sleep with a big rock but that might get me in trouble. Stick with the melatonin or tylenol PM. But do take care of yourself. I don't want you falling asleep at the wrong time - like when you are driving!

  12. Great giveaway! Thanks for a chance to win. I've found that my very old cat likes to snuggle and have her belly rubbed at bedtime. I fall asleep very easily on those nights when she's nearby, usually while in the middle of petting her. Otherwise, Tylenol PM!

  14. I wish I had a sleep remedy, the more I try the worse it gets. It doesn't help that my husband falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow! Your quilt is so pretty and I'm a happy follower.

  15. Reading or watching tv late at night usually puts me to sleep. Knitting late at night, too.

  16. I take 3 mg of melatonin and read for about a half hour before I want to go to sleep. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Depends on the book!!

  17. Warm milk with a teaspoon of honey stirred in is a good natural remedy. Works for me.
